MOUNT OLIVE -- The funeral for Helen Ruth Usher, 76, of 142 County Road, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Calypso. The Rev. Cliffton C. Hunt will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Usher died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late John and Eva Peterson Boykins and was formerly employed as a bus driver with Wayne County Public Schools.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Usher of the home; five daughters, Sandra Usher, Vondra McClain, Helen Stevens, Sylvia Leonard and Brenda West of Mount Olive; three sons, Gilbert Usher of Mount Olive and Jerry Usher and Bobby Usher of Texas; and several grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 7 on Saturday at Garris Funeral Home and the family will be present during the last hour to receive friends.
