KARL HERRING
DUDLEY -- The funeral for Karl Lavon Herring, 51, of 313 Robin Lake Drive, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at New Jackson Tabernacle, Mount Olive. Elderess Oglatha Sutton will officiate. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Park.
Mr. Herring died Thursday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Herring of the home; one son, Derrick Pearsall of Fayetteville; one daughter, Surreyya Murphy of Raleigh; one stepson, Michael Truzy of the home; three stepdaughters, Devonna Robinson of Detroit, Mich., Senecca Truzy of Goldsboro and Elaine Truzy of Dudley; his mother, Bertha Herring of Mount Olive; two brothers, the Rev. Roosevelt Herring of Dudley and Sherwood Frederick of Germany; four sisters, Quenetta Herring of Durham, Joyce Royal of Mount Olive, Bertha Johnson of Goldsboro and Carla Ann Reeves of Philadelphia, Pa.; and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 7 p.m. today at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive.
