ERNEST BROADHURST
The funeral for Ernest "Ed" Broadhurst will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church in Seven Springs. Pastor Anthony Davis will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Broadhurst is survived by three sons, Rodney Wright of Temple Hills, Md., Cassius Battle of Kansas City, Mo., and Pastor Scottie Rodgers of Goldsboro; four stepchildren, Tooele Patterson and Lenora Patterson of Atlanta, Ga., and Barbara Singletary and Micheal Patterson of Rochester, N.Y.; two sisters, Doreatha Sutton and Mae Ola Robinson of Goldsboro; three brothers, Ray Broadhurst of Goldsboro and Clifton and Irving Broadhurst of Rochester, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The viewing hours will be on Tuesday from 2 until 7 p.m.. at McIntyre Funeral Home, and the family will be there to receive friends from 7 until p.m. At other times they will receive friends at 209 Center St. in Mount Olive.
