ESTHER JONES
Esther Weeks Boyette Jones, 78, of 4526 Antique Lane, died Friday at her home.
Mrs. Jones was born in Mount Olive to the late Arthur James Weeks and Lydie Sutton Weeks and was the widow of William J. Boyette.
She retired as a group manager with Bell Atlantic Phone Company.
The funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. James United Methodist Church. The Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorenda Boyette Paulette of Midlothian, Va., and Mary Lois Boyette of Cape Carteret; one sister, Lois W. Horton and husband, Jerry T. Horton, of Raleigh; sister-in-law, Laura Weeks of Mount Olive; four grandchildren, Christopher Paulette, Jacquelyn Hudson, Joshua Walton, and Shelby Bridges; and a great-grandson, Kyle Hudson.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. today at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, 3808 New Hope Road, Raleigh, NC 27604.
