OG HAGANS
The funeral for OG Hagans, 84, formerly of Wayne County, was held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Isle of Patmas Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. Burial was in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Suitland, Md.
Mr. Hagans died Wednesday, July 14.
He was the son of the late John and Carrie Hagans. He attended Wayne County Schools and joined the U.S. Army in 1942.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Hagans, a daughter, Minnie Hagans and a son, Otis Hagans; three sisters, Truemille Thompson and Queen Swinson of Goldsboro and Ruby Barfield of Philadelphia; one bother, Angelo Hagans of Stantonsburg; and four grandchildren.
Pope Funeral Home in Forestville, Md., handled the funeral arrangements.
