SNOW HILL -- The funeral for Nancy Bunn Whitley, of 903 Parrott Ave., Kinston, will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service. Burial will be on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Snow Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Whitley died Wednesday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Carrie Mae Hinnant Bunn and was the widow of Thomas Elton Whitley. She was formerly employed as a supervisor with Hampton Industries in Kinston.
She is survived by two daughters, Sue Hughes of Kinston and Gladys Adkins of Snow Hill; seven grandchildren, seven sisters, Ellen Seymour of Bishopville, S.C., Geneva White and Geraldine Goodman of Kinston, Grace Jones and Anna Jones of Snow Hill, Kathy Herring and Dixie Letchworth of LaGrange; five brothers, Charlie Bunn, Alton Bunn, Wesley Bunn and Harold Bunn of Snow Hill, and Lindsey Bunn of Severn, Md.; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service on Saturday and other times at the home of Wendell and Gladys Adkins, 102 Edgemont Drive, Snow Hill.
