DOROTHY McCARTER
Dorothy Tyndall Morgan McCarter, of 404 Dove Place, died Tuesday in Wilson Memorial Hospital following several months of hospitalization and complications resulting from an automobile accident.
The funeral will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Goldsboro Worship Center on New Hope Road. Pastor Joseph Leonard will officiate. A graveside service will be held Saturday morning at 11 at Willow Dale Cemetery.
Mrs. McCarter was born in Wayne County to the late Lloyd and Addie Seals Tyndall. She was married to Arley McCarter and was a homemaker. She attended Goldsboro Schools and was a member of Goldsboro Worship Center and the Sanctuary Sunday School Class.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William Michael and Jacque Morgan of Columbia S.C.; a stepson Mark Horne, and his wife, Cathy, of Albany, Ga.; a sister and brother-in-law, Ollie and Bob White of Goldsboro; a brother, Butch Tyndall of Goldsboro; four sisters-in-law, Alice Savage, Yvonne Tyndall, Ruth Hoffman and Sadie Southerland of Goldsboro; a brother-in-law, Don McKown of New Bern; special family members, Mary Stevens, Craig Stevens, Chris Stevens and Tom Stevens; and step-grandchildren, Marcus Horne Jr., Zachary Todd Horne and Chad and Crystal. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Anna McKown, and a brother, Paul Tyndall.
Family members will greet friends immediately following the service at Goldsboro Worship Center, and at other times at the home.
