DAVID JONES
David Alston Jones, 75, of 4672 Wayne Memorial Drive, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Jones was born in Wayne County to the late Barry Jones and Mattie Pierce Jones.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Donald Daniels will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Sally Evans Jones; one son, Neal Jones and wife, April, of Goldsboro; a grandson, Tyler Jones; a special nephew, Leotis Jones; one brother, Barry Elvin Jones and wife, Jackie, of California; seven sisters, Brenda Jones, Linda Jones, Hilda Gurley, Aileen Harris, Myrtle Holland, Nellie Enciso and Vonnie Bailey.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Jones; a daughter, Lisa Jones; and his sisters, Rachel Allen and Otena Quinn.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
