LILLIAN MARTIN
Lillian Monson Martin, 82, of Lynchburg, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 16, 2004, in Goldsboro, N.C. She was the wife of the late Buford Martin. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Born in Bismark, N.D., on January 24, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Hart Monson. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Lynchburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Darlene M. French and husband, Samuel, of Goldsboro, N.C., and Buryl M. Dearhart of Mechanicsville, Va.; a son, Marty P. Martin and wife, Linda, of Irvington; a brother, Clifford Ault of Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister, Joyce Baker and husband, Marvin, of Goldsboro, N.C.; and five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, March 19, 2004, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Lynchburg, Va., by the Pastor Danny Eubank with burial to follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service at the funeral home.
