Voting for Reader's Choice Awards extended

The date for voting for area businesses as part of the Reader's Choice Awards has been extended to the end of the month.
Originally, the last day to vote in the popular Goldsboro News-Argus online competition was set for July 20. Votes will be accepted through July 27 until 11:59 p.m.
Cast your vote in more than 100 categories -- from your favorite restaurant and automotive business to your favorite heating and air conditioning service company and carpet cleaning business.
Businesses throughout Wayne County are listed in the Reader's Choice voting area, which can be accessed on the Goldsboro News-Argus website, at www.newsargus.com, through a link located in the upper right corner of the website.
Reader's Choice Awards provide consumers a chance to recognize their favorite business. The awards also provide the opportunity for area shoppers to reward local business owners and operators for providing valuable services and products.
The only rule is that only one vote can be cast per day.
The nominee with the greatest number of votes within each category will be declared the winner. The winners are presented with a certificate, which can be prominently displayed at each place of business.
The results of the Reader's Choice Awards will be announced in a special section of the News-Argus that will be published on Sept. 13.
