Central/EW Alumni and Friends reunion is planned

Central/Eastern Wayne Alumni and Friends will hold its 46th annual homecoming May 25 through May 27.
Classes ending with 3 or 8 will be honored.
The banquet will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 25, at the Goldsboro Event Center.
Elderess Mildred McLaurin Ross of LaGrange, Central High School Class of 1968, will be the speaker.
Tickets are $35 and $30 for ages 65 and older. A fashion show and party will follow the program.
A Dutch breakfast meeting will be held at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at Murray's.
The parade lineup will begin at 11 a.m. at Eastern Wayne Middle School. The parade will start at noon.
The route will start at Eastern Wayne Middle School and turn right on Central Heights Road, right on Longleaf, right on Ervin, right on Luther, left on Longleaf, left on New Hope Road and left at the school.
The annual family picnic will start at 1 p.m. at the school. Dinner will be served from 2 to 3 p.m. Tickets are $15. It will be followed by games and activities for all ages.
The set-up fee is $25 per tent.
The homecoming ball will start at 9 p.m. at the Goldsboro Event Center.
Tickets are $25.
A worship service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 27, at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.
The awards, recognition and scholarship program will be held at 5 p.m. at Woods Chapel UAFWB Church.
The speaker will be Jimmy Bowden of Stafford, Virginia, Class of 1973. Scholarship recipients and retirees will be honored.
