Woman injured in shooting on Olivia Lane

Goldsboro Police Department investigates the scene of a shooting early Tuesday afternoon on Olivia Lane near the intersection of Carver Drive that sent one man to Wayne UNC Health Care with a minor gunshot wound. After being hit the victim ran to an apartment on Carver Drive where 911 was called.

Goldsboro police are investigating the second shooting in less than a week, after an unidentified woman was shot on Olivia Lane this afternoon.

Around 1 p.m. today, police responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of Olivia Lane. A female victim was taken by EMS to Wayne UNC Health Care. It is not known at this time the extent of her injuries.

Goldsboro police Capt. Trey Ball said that GPD investigators are working to find out how many shots were fired and how many people were involved.

The shooting comes after another incident late last week. Just before 2 p.m. Friday, police responded to a shooting at 1717 S. Slocumb St. at the Slocumb Mini Mart. Thomasi Mon'Quez Davis suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to Wayne UNC Health Care where he was treated and released.
