Man charged in February beating that resulted in severe injuries

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrested a man Wednesday after he allegedly severely beat another man in February.
Randy Ray Romfo Jr., 22, 321-A Mobile Circle, Dudley, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
A press release from the sheriff's office said that on Feb. 10, the victim was checking on a neighbor's home when he was approached suddenly and subsequently attacked and hit in the face with a "blunt object" by the suspect.
According to the release, the victim knew Romfo and identified him as the assailant.
The victim sustained multiple broken bones which resulted in hospitalization and surgery.
Romfo currently remains in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $110,000 bond.
