Second annual car show will benefit students

Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church will hold its second annual car show from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 10.

It will be hosted by Ground Level Car Club at the church, 2802 E. Ash St.

There is a $20 registration fee to show a vehicle. Registration will end at noon. Judging will be held from noon to 2 p.m. and awards will be presented at 3 p.m.

All proceeds will benefit the Back Pack Buddy program.

The show is free to attend and will provide play equipment for children.

Top three awards will be presented in the following categories: 4x4, SUV, trucks (1986 or newer and not 4x4), mini-truck, lowrider, import, domestic (1986 or newer), classic car (1985 and older), classic truck (1985 and older) under construction and motorcycle.

Specialty awards will go to best interior, best paint, church's choice, club par (most registered logo vehicles) and best in show.

Children can bring their favorite Big Wheel, tricycle, bicycle, etc. They will vote for their favorite top three.

Some awards will be sponsored by Pete McCann from Cornwell Tools.
