Black History Parade scheduled for Feb. 24

MOUNT OLIVE -- The Unity Organization is holding the 10th annual Black History Parade at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 24.
The rain date is March 3.
There is no fee to enter afloat or group. However, an application must be filled out in order to enter. Commercial vendors are welcome.
Donations are being accepted.
Registration ends Friday, Jan. 26.
During its meeting last Monday, the town board waived fees for the parade.
More than 100 entries already have signed up, said Rickey Faire, one of the organizers.
Parade units will line up on Talton Avenue beginning at 11 a.m.
The parade will turn left (south) on Breazeale Avenue. It will follow Breazeale Avenue to the Carver Cultural Center where it will disband.
