Wayne County schools will close Wednesday due to winter weather

Wayne County Public Schools will be closed for students and staff Wednesday due to the expected winter weather.
Due to the closure the teacher workday rescheduled for Friday will now be a make-up day for students, exams will resume after students return to school.

The potential of adverse weather Wednesday also led to the cancellation of several Goldsboro meetings. The Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course Committee, Mayor's Committee for Persons with Disabilities and the Goldsboro Youth Council are canceled Wednesday.
