Two men die after shooting on Second Street

Two men are dead and one is injured after an early morning shooting on Second Street.
Carlis Benton, 38, and Carlos Darden, 42, have been identified by police as the two deceased, and Joshua Davis, 30, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in fair condition.
According to a Goldsboro Police Department press release, officers responded to the 600 block of Second Street after hearing shots being fired around 2:50 a.m.
After the shots were fired on Second Street, three men arrived at Wayne UNC Health Care in separate, private vehicles, each suffering from gunshot wounds.
It has been determined that the shooting happened at 605 Second Street.
Both deaths are being investigated as homicides by Goldsboro police.
