Police investigate failed armed robbery attempt

The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating after a man reported being held at gunpoint in the 700 block of North Jackson Street Monday.
According to the police report, the victim was working on cable services at around 9 a.m. when he was approached be an unknown black man. The man pulled out a handgun ---- a small, .22 caliber revolver ---- and demanded the victim hand over his money.
The victim told the suspect that he did not have any money or a wallet. The suspect then fled north on foot. Officers arrived on scene, but were unable to locate the suspect, according to the report.
The suspect is described as a black man around six feet tall with a slim build.
