Holloman

A 21-year-old validated gang member is facing charges after allegedly firing several shots into an occupied apartment building in Day Circle Sunday.

Quavonte Jermaine Holloman, 21, of 1010 Braswell Road, is charged with felony discharging a weapon into occupied property, injury to real property and order for arrest/failure to appear for possession of marijuana.

Police say Holloman -- a validated member of the Bloods street gang -- fired shots into the ceiling of the 900 building in Day Circle and into the door of 905 Day Circle, where people where inside.

Nobody was injured.

Officers responded to the shots fired call at about 5:37 p.m. Sunday, but could not find any evidence, victims or damage caused by gunfire at the time.

On Monday, Gang Suppression Unit officers went back to the scene, spoke to residents and got information through Crime Stoppers.

Holloman was then developed as a suspect and warrants were taken out for his arrest.

He was arrested at the Day Reporting Center on East Walnut Street Tuesday and charged.

Holloman was put in the Wayne County Jail under a $760,500 secured bond.
