A man is in custody after allegedly breaking into a Rosewood home and stealing more than $1,000 in technology, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office press release.

On Sept. 9, the sheriff's office received a breaking and entering report from a resident on Quaker Drive in the Rosewood community. A suspect had entered the home and stolen a TV, Playstation game system and games and a cell phone, with a total listed value of $1,282.87, according to the report.

After an investigation, the sheriff's office arrested Chrystopher Allen Lane, 27, of 214 Quaker Drive. Lane allegedly stole the items, then sold or pawned them at businesses around Goldsboro, according to the report.

Lane was charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, and three counts of obtaining property by false pretenses. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $28,000 secured bond.
