Police seek information in Day Circle shooting

On Thursday, Aug. 3, at approximately 12:37 a.m., the Goldsboro Police Department responded to Wayne UNC Health Care reverence a gunshot victim that had arrived by a private vehicle.
The victim, Mr. Jamal Leach, a 24-year-old black male of Goldsboro was subsequently transferred to Vidant Hospital in Greenville due to the severity of his injuries.
Investigators of the Goldsboro Police Department responded.
A Shot Spotter alert was received in the Seymour Homes area at 12:06 a.m. It was determined the victim was in the 1800 block area of Day Circle when he was shot. The victim has since been released from the hospital.
