Seymour Johnson Air Force Base has made some revisions to this year's Wings Over Wayne Air Show taking place Saturday and Sunday.
Among the changes is the cancellation of the U.S. Air Force parachute team Wings of Blue.
The parachute demo team was among the list of acts intending to take to the sky over Wayne County May 20 and 21, but will no longer be performing.
Also, while chairs and cameras will be allowed as items that can be carried on base by attendees, drinks and food items will not be allowed.
Empty water bottles may be brought to the air show, but must remain empty until visitors have passed through security checkpoints for screening. Filling stations will be made available so that people can stay hydrated throughout the day.
Some last minute changes to the map were also mentioned. While none of the aircraft will be moved from their originally-listed locations, more emphasis was made indicating the entry control points, or access gates, on a new version of the map disseminated Wednesday. The first aid tent was also relocated.
And finally, patrons who had intended to bring drones on base to capture aerial footage of the air show have been told to abort those plans.
One official helping to coordinate access to the air show insisted, "please, leave the drones at home."
