A LaGrange man was shot in the leg while another man was pistol-whipped during a home invasion Wednesday night, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said.
According to a report, two people were at the residence in the 400 block of Racetrack Road in LaGrange when three men drove onto the property at 11 p.m.
The report said that two men entered the home and struck a man with a handgun.
Meanwhile, a third man stood over a person outside the home and then shot him with a revolver in the leg.
The three men left in a red Dodge Charger, the report said.
A person at the home where the incident took place told officers one of the men had a "revolver-type gun," and he said the men were wearing bandanas and beanie hats.
The shooting victim was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Maj. Tom Effler was unable to provide any further information on the home invasion.
