The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating shots fired into a home and at several vehicles on Summerlin Drive early Wednesday morning, according to an incident report.

Several people were inside a house at 411 Summerlin Drive when they heard gunshots ring out, the report said.

Tristen Melvin, 38, walked into her living room and found several bullet holes in her wall, according to the report.

When deputies arrived on scene they discovered three vehicles belonging to the people inside the house had also been struck by bullets, the report said.

According to the report, Melvin told police she believes her house was targeted because her son, who was in the house at the time of the shooting, has several enemies and that the shooting could be gang related.
