Wayne County Public Schools announced make-up days for the days missed earlier this week.
The inclement weather and icy roadways forced officials to cancel classes Monday and Tuesday.
After reviewing several options, administrators developed the following make-up schedule for the academic calendars.
Students in traditional schools will attend classes on March 24, originally slated to be a teacher workday. To make up lost instructional time, Feb. 1, March 8 and April 5, originally early release days, will now be extended to full days for students.
Those following the non-traditional calendar -- Goldsboro High, Wayne Early/Middle College and Wayne School of Engineering -- will have March 3 and 31 as make-up days. Those days had originally been scheduled teacher workdays.
Earlier in the week, the district also announced other calendar changes due to the disruption by the weather days.
To help accommodate the testing calendar and the transition between semesters for high school, Friday, Jan. 20, a designated workday, will now be a student day and Monday, Jan. 23, will now be a designated workday.
