Deputies: Pikeville man had heroin, cocaine on him behind Food Lion

A Pikeville man is facing drug charges after his arrest Thursday.

According to a press release, Wayne County Drug Unit members found Jondre Terrell Spencer, 38, of 402 Sweeten Branch Road, Pikeville, behind the Food Lion grocery store in Pikeville.

Deputies then found around 2.5 grams of heroin and 4.8 grams of cocaine on him, the release said.

The release does not specify why deputies, already in the area to investigate narcotics distribution, searched Spencer.

Spencer is charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine and felony possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin.

He was given a $3,000 secured bond and put in the Wayne County Detention Center.
