Taste of Wayne postponed due to storm

United Way of Wayne County's 26th Annual Taste of Wayne County has been postponed until Saturday, October 15 due to the uncertainty surrounding Hurricane Matthew. The event will be held at 200 North Center Street from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Tickets are $15 per person and children 6 and are free. Tickets are on sale at the following locations: Downtown Goldsboro Development Corporation, Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, Zaxby's, the United Way Office, and online at www.tasteofwayne.com. If you have already purchased a ticket it will be honored on re-scheduled date of October 15. Organizers said they appreciate the public's understanding and flexibility. Safety is their primary concern, officials said.
