Eastern Wayne students evacuated to gym after lightning strike

Wayne County Public Schools spokesperson Ken Derksen confirmed Eastern Wayne Middle School students in the school's two-story building were evacuated to the gym this morning due to smoke. Officials at the scene believe the smoke was caused by a lightning strike.
