Rain led to the cancellation or delay of several events at the Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair on Thursday, but the chance of rain has lessened today and a full schedule is expected.

Headlining today's activities are the Open Junior Meat Goat Show at 6 p.m. and the Queen of the Fair Pageant at 8.

Other events include the opening of the midway at 5 p.m. and performances by Almost Amazing Rex & Dana Ryan at 6, Extreme Illusions at 7 and 9, K9s in Flight at 7:30 and 9:30, and a western gunfight at 8:30.

Gates to all exhibits open at 4 p.m.

On Thursday, officials felt the need to cancel the Open Junior Market Hog Show and postpone several other contests. But the weather cleared enough for the midway to open and hundreds of people took in the rides and games as the fair kicked off its 10-day run.
