Wayne County Office of Emergency Services personnel gather in the parking lot of Logan's Roadhouse after a Wayne County EMS worker was assaulted during a call Tuesday.

A teenager allegedly punched an EMS worker in the face while being treated after he was reportedly found unconscious.

Gabriel Brody Carter, 19, of 1603 Cuyler Best Road B3, reportedly refused treatment when he woke up from being unconscious.

According to a report filed with the Goldsboro Police Department, Carter was told he needed treatment, then he punched an EMS worker in the face and ran away.

The incident unfolded in the parking lot of Logan's Roadhouse at 1011 Sunburst Drive.

According to North Carolina State Highway Patrolman Justin Arnette, who responded to the scene Tuesday afternoon with the Goldsboro Police Department, Carter was apprehended around the corner from Logan's Roadhouse in the parking lot behind Walmart on Spence Avenue.

Carter was charged with felony assault on emergency personnel, assault on a female and assault with a deadly weapon.

He was taken to the Wayne County Jail and given a $2,500 secured bond for the charges.
