Two charged with drug possession

Two women were arrested Sept. 4 on charges related to trafficking opiates after deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office discovered opiates during a traffic stop.
Angela Suggs Craig, 36, of 218 Pine Tree Lane, Dudley, and Katrina Sue Harris, 39, of 550 W. New Hope Road, were stopped near Food Lion on U.S. 111 South on Sept. 4 by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team.
According to a press release on the traffic stop, both women were found to be in possession of enough opiates to warrant trafficking charges.
Craig was charged with trafficking opiates by possession, trafficking opiates by transportation and order for arrest no operators license.
Harris was charged with felony maintaining a vehicle.
Craig was given a $20,000 secured bond, and Harris was given a $2,500 secured bond on the charges.
Both women were detained in the Wayne County Jail.
