Theft of microphone at Walmart thwarted

Two men allegedly attempted to steal a microphone from Walmart last week, but returned the item once they were confronted by an employee.
According to a police report on the incident, two black males entered the store and removed a microphone. An employee then confronted them, and they returned the item and left in a gold Saturn.
One of the men was identified as Michael Hackney, 27, of 912 Prince Ave., by the employee getting the car's license plate information, the report says.
The second man has not been identified.
