Goldsboro police responded to two different reports of shots fired over the Labor Day weekend, but could find no evidence of either.
The first call of a single gunshot was around 5:09 a.m. Sunday on West Vine St.
Officers were alerted by ShotSpotter to shots fired early Monday on the 300 block of Hollowell Avenue.
En route, officers were told that an anonymous caller reported seeing a black man wearing black shirt and khaki pants fire a gun, the type was not listed on the report, who then left heading south on foot.
Officer searched the area as well as the area of Spence Avenue and Hollowell Avenue.
