The home of Wayne County assistant district attorney and district court judge candidate Curtis Stackhouse was shot into Sunday about 2:30 a.m.
Stackhouse's home, located at 500 N. Audubon Ave., was struck by several bullets, and the shots caused damage to a front window, a brick and the interior of the home, according to a police report on the incident. No one was injured. Roughly $360 in damages were caused to the home, the report says.
Maj. Anthony Carmon, head of the Goldsboro Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division, said the house was struck by three bullets.
Carmon said he did not know if the shooting was a drive-by or if the suspect was on foot at the time of the shooting.
Stackhouse said he and his 2 1/2-year-old twins were inside the house at the time of the shooting.
"I woke up because I heard gunshots, and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from," Stackhouse said. "I saw a hole in my window and called 911."
Stackhouse said the police arrived on scene rapidly. He added that he did not go outside to investigate and did not see anyone or anything after the shooting. Carmon said there are no suspects in the case at this time.
