Saturday's raid at the Serena Inn in Goldsboro at 708 Corporate Drive where officers executed search warrants on 12 rooms resulted in five people being arrested and charged with crimes.
The five people charged with crimes lived in four of the rooms that were raided.
In addition to the criminal charges, eight citations were issued for possession of drug paraphernalia, two citations were issued for possession of marijuana and one citation was issued for providing fictitious information to authorities.
Maj. Tom Effler with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said the citations issued were separate from the criminal charges filed against the five people that were arrested.
"They are criminal charges, but they weren't arrested," Effler said. "They were given a ticket but not taken into custody."
Jamire Radzon Hines, 20, of 708 Corporate Drive Room 208, was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was given a $10,000 secured bond.
Morris Patrick Williams, 32, of 708 Corporate Drive Room 159, was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of cocaine, felony maintaining a dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was given a $10,000 secured bond.
Kimyotta Laterice Williams, 31, of 708 Corporate Drive Room 159, was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of cocaine, felony maintaining a dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was given a $5,000 secured bond.
Dionco Rolaan Hamilton, 42, of 708 Corporate Drive Room 128, was charged with possession of MDMA, possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana, and was given a $2,500 secured bond.
Ashley Megan Rose, 23, of 708 Corporate Drive Room 227, was charged with felony probation violation and given a $7,500 secured bond.
Effler said the names of the people cited with tickets and sent on their way instead of being taken into custody will not be released.
He added that the number of charges filed as a result of the raid was expected, and authorities did not think the number of those charged would be higher than it was.
"We knew it was a nuisance, and the thing about hotels like that is they move from one room to another, and they'll be here today and gone tomorrow," Effler said.
