Deacon Jones is settling into its newest Goldsboro location after recently taking ownership of the former Stevenson Honda on U.S. 70 West.
Deacon Jones Honda adds to the company's increasing presence in the Goldsboro market, with three other locations, including Deacon Jones Nissan, Deacon Jones Kia and Deacon Jones Ford and Lincoln.
"We see a lot of opportunity in this market, with the growth of the market and a lot of opportunity with the product that I don't think has been tapped into . . .," said Craig Cook, general manager of Deacon Jones Honda.
A new sign will be added to the Honda dealership, reflecting the Deacon Jones brand, this month, said Ken Jones, chief executive officer of Deacon Jones.
Deacon Jones Honda is located at 1309 W. Grantham St., off U.S. 70. Service hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sales hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The dealership has added vehicles to the lot and will consistently have anywhere from 80 to 100 pre-owned and Honda-certified automobiles onsite, Jones said.
Customers will be provided with the same customer service and sales experience Deacon Jones offers from its other locations in the region, said Trey Jones, Ken Jones' son and family representative working from Deacon Jones Honda in Goldsboro.
"We realize and are committed to raising the level of service . . ." Ken Jones said. "Trey and Craig are committed to making sure anybody locally can buy locally, as cheap as any other offers they may receive."
The service department is offering shuttle service and courtesy vehicles, at no cost, during extended vehicle repair work.
The company plans to hire additional sales and service employees, and the Honda dealership will eventually move to a new location at the future Deacon Jones AutoPlex, on U.S. 70. Construction is underway at the future AutoPlex site where the Deacon Jones Nissan and Deacon Jones Ford and Lincoln dealerships will relocate in early 2017, Jones said.
