An officer with the Goldsboro Police Department was arrested early Friday morning for allegedly driving while impaired.
Stacey Olivia Hatcher, 44, of 119 Mill Creek Court, was arrested at 12:20 a.m. Friday morning by the Pikeville Police Department during an administrative traffic checkpoint on Pikeville-Princeton Road, according to a report filed on Ms. Hatcher's arrest.
Ms. Hatcher was charged with driving while impaired. Her blood alcohol content at the time of her arrest was not available by press time.
Goldsboro Police Chief Mike West said Ms. Hatcher had been employed with the Goldsboro Police Department for 13 years, and worked as a patrol officer.
West declined to say what shift Ms. Hatcher was assigned to.
"She has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of our investigation," West said.
