Woman charged with safecracking, stealing money

A 36-year-old Goldsboro woman was arrested in connection with the theft of a large sum of money in the Grantham community.
A resident reported the theft to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office on July 27.
Sarah Jane Pierce, of 537 Stevens Church Road, was arrested and charged with safecracking, felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods. Bond was set at $5,000.
