Lupus group meeting set for Aug. 20

A support group meeting of the state chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America will be held Saturday, Aug. 20, from 1-2:30 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church at 2114 N. Berkeley Blvd.
The group meets the third Saturday of each month. There is no charge to attend the meeting, and drop-ins are welcome. Contact the group at info@lupusnc.org or at 877-849-8271, ext. 1. For more information, visit www.lupusnc.org.
The group provides participants with an opportunity to receive introductory information about lupus, encourage the expression of concerns, provide an opportunity to share experiences, encourage and support positive coping strategies, and emphasize the importance of medical treatment.
