The Wayne County Sheriff's Office charged two women Tuesday for allegedly breaking into a home in northern Wayne County and stealing several items from the residence.
Casey Jean Best, 25, of 304 Charles St., was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods and obtaining property by false pretense.
Kaitylyn Dee Howell, 21, also of 304 Charles St., was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods and obtaining property by false pretense.
Ms. Best was given a $2,500 secured bond, while Ms. Howell was given a $10,000 secured bond.
Capt. Richard Lewis with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Ms. Best was given a higher bond because there were multiple counts of obtaining property by false pretense charges filed against her.
Ms. Howell and Ms. Best allegedly broke into a home on Weathervane Road in the Nahunta community, Lewis said.
According to a press release on the incident, some of the stolen property -- which consisted of hand tools and electronic equipment -- has been recovered at several local pawn shops.
