Someone threw eggs on a state-owned vehicle sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning while it was parked on Center Street, according to a police report.
An employee with the state Department of Public Safety reported to police that a white 2012 Chevrolet Impala belonging to the department was parked at 301 S. Center St. Monday night, and when the employee returned to work Tuesday morning the employee discovered the vehicle had been egged.
The eggs thrown at the vehicle damaged the paint on the drivers side of the vehicle, the report says, causing roughly $1,000 worth of damage.
The employee who reported the damage told police they did not know who could have egged the vehicle, and that the department has been having problems with vehicles parked on Center Street being damaged.
