Larceny investigated

The Goldsboro Police Department cited and released a man and a woman after they allegedly attempted to leave Wal-Mart without paying for their items, according to a police report.
At 6 p.m. last Tuesday, officers responded to a call that people had concealed merchandise in a purse at the Wal-Mart store at 1002 Spence Ave. and then attempted to leave without paying, according to police reports.
The officers recovered the items and cited the suspects, identified as Dustin Dee Ginn, 19, of 1104 Sunburst Drive and Debbie Joann Lancaster, 21, before releasing them, according to the reports.
The total value of the items was $32.80.
