Assault report investigated

A woman reported to police Wednesday afternoon that a man she was giving a ride allegedly assaulted her.
The female victim reported to police that Rasheed Jackson, 20, of 603 Day Circle, allegedly assaulted her while she was giving him a ride, a police report on the incident says.
The female told police that while she was giving Jackson a ride, he allegedly pushed her in the face and then punched her in the face, the report says.
Following the altercation, Jackson allegedly jumped out of the car and ran away.
Police advised the female victim of the process to take out a warrant.
