Authorities ask for help in murder investigation

On Friday, July 1, at 2:30 a.m. the Goldsboro Police Department responded to the 400 block of East Holly Street regarding shots being fired. Officers arrived on the scene and located 17-year-old Montez Lamar Wilson deceased from gunshot wounds.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call investigator Tilghman at 919-580-4216.

Anyone with information about this crime or any other crime in Wayne County is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255 or text at 919-222-4230.

Callers will remain anonymous, and if your information leads to a felony arrest you will be given a cash reward for the information.
