A Goldsboro man has been arrested and placed under a $750,000 secured bond in connections with a Friday afternoon shooting that injured a Dudley man.

It was the second shooting that police had been called to in a less-than-12-hour period Friday.

The first shooting that left 17-year-old Montez Lamar Wilson dead, was around 2:20 a.m. Friday morning on the 400 block of East Holly Street.

No one has been charged in that shooting

The second shooting was reported around 12:30 p.m. when police responded to a call of a person that had been shot at 907 N. Carolina St.

Police said the two shootings are not related.

Trevis Steven Kinsey, 27, who was captured running from the scene, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm.

The first officers on the scene saw a man running from the area. They pursued the subject who brandished a handgun.

When the second officer arrived they found Albert Lee Williams III, 36, of Dudley, lying in the doorway of 907 N. Carolina St. suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Williams was taken by EMS to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The officers were able to take Kinsey into custody without incident.

He has previously been notified by the Goldsboro Partners Against Crime.

Kinsey's first court appearance is set for Tuesday.
