FOUR OAKS -- Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site and the Friends of Bentonville Battlefield Inc. are excited to offer battlefield tours to the general public the first Saturday of each month during the summer season. These tours will take on added significance on July 2, as they occur Independence Day weekend. Battlefield tours at Bentonville are traditionally self-guided except for larger groups and military staff rides so don't miss this unique opportunity to get a guided tour without being part of such a group.
Guided battlefield tours typically last two hours and consist of seven stops on the battlefield plus an orientation at the Visitors Center. Follow your guide in your own vehicle onto the battlefield. Tours are limited to the first 12 cars and are $5 per person for ages 12 and older. Under age 12 is free but the tours may not be suitable for a younger audience. Tours begin at the Visitors Center at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Call Amanda at Bentonville Battlefield to reserve your space.
Public "follow the fight" tours will also be offered on Aug. 6 and Sept. 3. Generally, with two weeks' notice visitors can book a private tour for an additional fee. Free guided tours of the Harper House continue during our normal operating hours. All battlefield tour proceeds benefit Bentonville Battlefield.
