Local, state offices to close

Local, state and federal offices as well as banks and the post office will be closed Monday in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
The Wayne County Courthouse and all county offices will be closed along with the county libraries, the Dudley landfill and convenience centers.
The landfill, normally closed on Wednesdays, will be open to commercial haulers only on Wednesday, July 6.
Town offices in Goldsboro, Mount Olive, Eureka, Fremont, Walnut Creek, Pikeville and Seven Springs will be closed for the Fourth of July holiday.
All Goldsboro city offices, including recreation facilities, will be closed. City solid waste services on Monday will be serviced on Wednesday.
Mount Olive's recyclable center also will also be closed and will re-open on Wednesday, July 6, at 8 a.m. Household garbage pick up will not be affected. Yard waste pick up will be delayed by one day, Monday's route will be picked up on Tuesday and Tuesday's route will be picked up on Wednesday.
Anyone who has a water or sewer emergency should call 919-658-5031 and select option 2 to be connected with dispatch.
The Goldsboro/Wayne Transportation Authority will operate on a Saturday schedule on the holiday. The bus service will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
Carolina Southern Sanitation will be closed Monday. Pickups scheduled for Monday will be handled Tuesday. Pickups scheduled for Tuesday will be handled Wednesday. The company will return to a normal schedule on Thursday and Friday.
Wooten Garbage Service will not collect garbage on Monday, but will resume pickups on Tuesday following the holiday. Workers will pick up the Monday route on Tuesday, the Tuesday route on Wednesday, the Wednesday route on Thursday and the Thursday route on Friday.
