An unknown suspect fired a single shot at a vehicle in a road rage incident Wednesday on U.S. 117.
A husband and wife were driving a red 2007 Ford F-150 when a blue 2016 Dodge Ram began following them in a fit of road rage just outside of the city limits on U.S. 117 South.
The suspect vehicle followed the couple to the intersection of U.S. 117 South and West Ash Street before firing a single shot out of an unknown type of firearm at the vehicle.
The couple fled the scene and called police.
Nobody was injured during the shooting, and the couple's vehicle was not struck by the shot.
Maj. Anthony Carmon with the Goldsboro Police Department said the couple has been able to give a description of the person driving the Dodge Ram, and had not said what led to the outburst of road rage.
