Man charged with breaking into vehicles

A homeless man was arrested during the weekend by the Goldsboro Police Department for two separate vehicle break-ins that happened in May and the second week of June.
Joao Martins Neves, 30, who was living on the streets of Goldsboro, was arrested and charged with two counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, two counts of larceny and two counts of financial card fraud.
The first incident happened May 29, when Neves allegedly opened an unlocked vehicle and stole a purse.
The second incident happened on June 8, when Neves allegedly opened an unlocked vehicle and stole a pair of headphones.
Both incidents happened at the Holiday Inn Express at 1003 Sunburst Drive.
Neves was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
