Saturday accident

Officers with the Goldsboro Police Department discuss the scene of a wreck involving a motorcycle and a Honda Civic that happened Saturday evening in front of Outback Steakhouse. The driver of the motorcycle was traveling west on North Park Drive when the driver of the Honda Civic attempted to turn into the Outback Steakhouse parking lot. The driver of the motorcycle was thrown approximately 25 feet. He was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital to be treated for a broken arm and checked for any additional injuries. Witness Danielle Shaffer, a nurse, was driving by when she saw the wreck. Shaffer kept him still and talked to him until first responders arrived. She said, "I just tried to keep him calm."
